Women Only Training
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is as self-defense ideal for women because in our sport much use is made of the leverage principle. I.e. at the right angle, with your body weight and with little power, try to control and dominate your opponent on the ground. You can therefore get a lot of return from the techniques during our lessons. In addition, an opponent standing is of course much more explosive than lying on the ground! This advantage is taken away from him / her when Jiu-Jitsuka goes for the ‘takedown’ or throw and thus puts the fight to your own hand. Even when someone is much bigger or heavier.
The EGJJF regularly organizes Woman Only training, because how fun is it to train with all of you peers who, like you, often have to suffer under the power and egos of the men during the regular lessons.
